"Art evokes the
mystery without which the world would not exist."
- Rene Magritte
People often ask me how to sell their artwork online. Here's my system:
Web Hosting
Datona Communications: This is the webhost
I use for this website. I chose them based on price and
reviews. I pay just $1 Canadian per month for a lovely
package of hosting features. Their subsidiary company, the
one that I signed up with, is called Toonie Hosting.
IX Webhosting:
This is the website host for my husband's
and my healing centre website (Clayhut
Healing Centre). I shopped around
and compared hundreds of web hosts before selecting this one.
I'm very happy with my plan. I get a ton of features, including
100 GB of bandwidth and a free top level (.com) domain name for a low fee.
Print-on-Demand Giftware
Zazzle:
I use Zazzle to sell customizable print-on-demand gifts featuring
my artwork an photographs. You can set up as many galleries
as you wish for free. Once you design your giftware line and
pick your commission level, Zazzle does the rest. You don't
have to worry about printing, accepting credit cards, shipping
or returns. Even better, there's no minimum earnings required
so even if you only sell a few items you'll still get paid.
Website Photo / Art Albums
JAlbum: I used to use Adobe
PhotoShop to create my albums but they were a nuisance to update.
Then I found this wonderful FREE software and I was hooked!
JAlbum is a user-friendly program which turns out professional
galleries. Best of all, they even offer free album hosting.
